In February of 2015, I was invited to participate in a local art gallery's Hip To Be Square exhibition...

...and as you can imagine, all of the original art works had to be square in shape - with 12" x 12" being the largest size acceptable.
It had been a while since I had last painted a peace symbol and so I thought it was time to paint another one.
Just a week or so before I received this invitation I had been watching 'The Watchmen' movie. One of the main characters is an interesting hero - intent on revealing the truth... no matter the consequences - with a special fabric mask that creates continuously moving Rorschach images across his face. This mask was the inspiration behind the techniques that I chose to create this painting.
